But with all the mocha options available at Starbucks, how would you know which one fits your taste?

I've got your next Starbucks order covered! Below, I'll use my years of experimentation to bring you the best Starbucks mocha drinks.

Caffè Mocha Standard Ingredients
  • Milk
  • Brewed Espresso
  • Mocha Sauce
  • Whipped Cream

I have to start with the drink that started it all for me - the caffè mocha.

It is made with four simple ingredients: espresso, mocha flavoring sauce, your choice of steamed milk, and whipped cream. It's a classic mocha recipe that no-one can resist.[1

I love how rich and indulgent this mocha is but without going overboard in terms of flavor.

This is my go-to when I want to treat myself to a simple caffè mocha with no fancy ingredients.

A grande-sized caffè mocha will give you 370 calories, which may seem too much, especially if you’re watching your diet.

2. Peppermint Mocha

Starbucks Peppermint Mocha
Peppermint Mocha Standard Ingredients
  • Espresso
  • peppermint syrup
  • mocha sauce
  • whipped Cream
  • dark chocolate mocha sauce

I adore minty flavors with my coffee and chocolate, especially when it starts getting dark and chilly outside. To me, the Peppermint Mocha is the festive season in a mug.

The minty flavor of the peppermint syrup blends perfectly with the sweetness of the mocha sauce and the bitterness of the coffee.

I know it can be a little sweet for some, but the Peppermint Mocha is one of the great Starbucks drinks.

The moment I sip it, I start feeling that festive spirit - it's practically Pavlovian at this point!

3. Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha

Starbucks Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha
Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha Standard Ingredients
  • Espresso
  • Peppermint Syrup
  • white chocolate mocha sauce
  • Whipped Cream
  • Dark Chocolate Mocha Sauce

Another holiday classic peppermint drink that I adore is the Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha.

Instead of the usual mocha sauce, the drink uses white chocolate mocha sauce that adds more creaminess to the drink.

But be warned, this drink is packed with a whopping 570 calories. If you're on a diet, you should opt for a Starbucks keto drink instead.

However, since it’s not available year-round, I say go for it and indulge in this delicious and creamy cup.

It’s only available for a limited time, so why not make the most out of it?

4. Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino

  • espresso
  • milk
  • peppermint syrup
  • white mocha syrup
  • ice
  • whipped cream
  • dark chocolate curls

I've been on a real Frappuccino kick lately, so was ecstatic to find out there was a Frappuccino version of the Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha!

This is basically a blended White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino but with added mint flavored syrup.

I admit, white chocolate can be a bit too sweet for me but this Frappuccino is a nice change of pace.

The minty flavor surprisingly works well with the iced white chocolate mocha, but don't drink it too fast or you might get brain freeze. Trust me; it will happen.

5. Peppermint Mocha Crème Frappuccino

  • espresso
  • milk
  • mocha sauce
  • peppermint syrup
  • whipped cream
  • ice
  • Dark Chocolate Curls

My fave Peppermint Mocha blended into a Creme Frappuccino? Sign me up!

Like the hot drink, this Mocha Frappuccino comes with mocha sauce, espresso, milk, peppermint syrup, and whipped cream but with ice and dark chocolate curls instead of a chocolate drizzle, blended all together.

I love getting this when I'm Christmas shopping and exploring Christmas markets. I always get so hot going from cold streets to overheated stores, and this is the perfect festive way to cool down.

White Chocolate Mocha Standard Ingredients
  • Milk
  • White Chocolate Mocha Sauce
  • Brewed Espresso
  • Whipped Cream

Sometimes the only thing that will hit the spot for me is white chocolate (especially when paired with dried strawberries!) When I have that craving, this Starbucks mocha drink is my go-to.

Instead of the usual mocha sauce, this hot drink uses white chocolate mocha sauce combined with Starbucks’s signature espresso and your choice of steamed milk.[2

A grande cup has 150 mg of caffeine that always gives me a boost of energy to power through my day.

Tips From A Barista
  • Add extra whipped cream and toffee nut syrup for an even more indulgent White Chocolate Mocha

7. Black and White Mocha

Starbucks Black and White Mocha
Black and White Mocha Standard Ingredients
  • espresso
  • milk
  • mocha sauce
  • white chocolate syrup

When I'm torn between white chocolate mochas and the classic mocha, the Black and White mocha is the best of both worlds.

It comes with both the classic mocha sauce and white chocolate syrup mixed with milk and signature espresso.

It’s also topped with chocolate sequins and Starbucks whipped cream that make this drink even more delectable.

Tips From A Barista
  • Ask for steamed oat milk instead of whole milk for an even creamier take on this chocolatey dream

8. Mocha Frappuccino

Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino
Mocha Frappuccino Standard Ingredients
  • frappuccino roast coffee
  • milk
  • mocha sauce

This is it - the drink that got teen me started on the coffee train. The Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino is an excellent choice (not that I'm biased or anything!)

This classic drink is made of three simple ingredients: milk, mocha sauce, and frappuccino roast coffee.

This Mocha Frappuccino tastes so rich and nostalgic to me. I could have it any time and instantly be transported to long afternoons studying and catching up with friends.

It's basically a caffeinated chocolate milkshake - what more could you want?
Tips From A Barista
  • Ask the barista to pour a shot of hot espresso on top instead of blending the coffee into the drink for an affogato-style Frappuccino

9. Toasted White Chocolate Mocha

Starbucks Toasted White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino
Toasted White Chocolate Mocha Standard Ingredients
  • Brewed Espresso
  • Steamed Milk
  • caramelized white chocolate Sauce
  • Whipped Cream
  • sugar sparkles
  • crispy white pearls

What’s better than white chocolate mocha? Of course, its caramelized version - the toasted white chocolate mocha.

The sauce is slightly toasted to give it a more nutty, smoky, but sweet flavor. It really reminds me of toasted marshmallows and white chocolate milkshakes.

It’s essentially a White Chocolate Mocha drink, but instead of the regular white chocolate mocha sauce, it uses caramelized white chocolate sauce plus sugar sparkles and crispy white pearls.

This results in a holiday treat I can't resist!

10. TikTok White Mocha

Starbucks Iced White Mocha with Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam and Caramel Drizzle
TikTok White Mocha Standard Ingredients
  • iced coffee
  • white chocolate mocha sauce
  • whipped cream

Of course, I won’t forget to include one of the most popular Starbuck mocha drinks on TikTok.

Unlike many TikTok drinks that have a complicated recipe, this secret menu drink is simple.

I only tried the TikTok White Mocha recently and I've been obsessed ever since!

Even though the drink sounds simple, it has a creamy sweet taste that always leaves me wanting more.

Remember, this is a Starbucks secret menu drink so you need to tell the barista the exact recipe to replicate this drink.

Ask Barista For: a venti-sized iced coffee with four pumps of white chocolate mocha sauce and sweet whipped cream.

Tips For Ordering Mocha Drinks At Starbucks

Ordering Starbuck mocha drinks is easy since most of its drinks are available on its regular menu. However, there are some, like the TikTok White Mocha drink, that require you to list the recipe.

If you’re feeling nervous about ordering mocha drinks, here are some tips that will help ease your mind:

  • Mochas are available in hot, iced, and Frappuccino. Before ordering, decide what you want to narrow down your choices.
  • Starbucks cup sizes come in Tall, Grande, and Venti. It’s essentially just small, medium, and large.
  • If you want to add mocha to your fave drink, you have three mocha sauce choices: classic mocha sauce, white chocolate mocha syrup, and the seasonal toasted white chocolate mocha sauce.
  • Starbucks has a variety of milk choices, ranging from nonfat milk to non-dairy options. I recommend trying Starbucks almond milk with these mocha drinks.
  • In addition to peppermint, mochas are perfect with vanilla syrup, cinnamon dolce syrup, or pretty much any coffee Frappuccino syrup.
  • You can also add whatever toppings you want to finish off your mocha drink. If you want more chocolate, add more chocolate swirls. Want it to be sweeter? Add caramel drizzle.
  • If you want more caffeine in your drink, you can always add an extra shot of espresso.
  • Are you watching your calories? Ask the barista to make yours a skinny mocha. Skinny at Starbucks means no whipped cream and the milk will be replaced with a nonfat version.
  • You can also go decaf if you’re not a fan of caffeine. But chocolate also contains caffeine, so if you really want a truly caffeine-free Starbucks mocha, also replace the regular mocha sauce with white chocolate mocha sauce.
