What I love about Dutch Bros, is that I can get anything from a hot coffee to a sweet smoothie.
However, just like everything about the chain, their smoothies are completely customizable and the options are endless.
When sitting in the drive-thru, I start feeling the pressure to make up my mind, so I decided to detail my 10 favorite smoothies and combos to order.
10 Amazing Dutch Bros Smoothies You Need To Try
Dutch Bros never fails to provide a huge array of flavors, but which smoothies are actually worth ordering?
1. Hawaiian

Hawaiian Standard Ingredients
- peach smoothie (Half)
- strawberry smoothie (Half)
- banana Syrup
- orange syrup
This popular seasonal menu item is an adaptation of the Rebel Energy flavor without the caffeine kick.
Unfortunately, I can’t always be loaded up on caffeine, so it’s a nice alternative.
This fruity, fresh cocktail of flavors is prepared using half a cup of peach smoothie, and half a cup of strawberry smoothie swirled together before adding banana and orange syrups.
I love ordering it topped with whipped cream or a Dutch Bros soft top for a creamy start to finish!
The Hawaiian is also available as a Frost, soda, lemonade, and tea flavor for some serious vacation vibes in every sip!
2. Green Apple Smoothie

Green Apple Smoothie Standard Ingredients
- Green Apple Smoothie
It’s tangy, sweet, and a little bit sour!
Made simply using their blended apple base and ice, the apply smoothie is a crisp and refreshing pick-me-up anytime.
This dairy-free smoothie works great on its own, but I personally use it as a base to add customizations to.[1]
It goes well with both sweet and sour customizations, making it one of the most versatile smoothies on the menu.
The funny thing is, I’m not even a fan of actual green apples but I love this one.
Tips From a Barista:
- Add 1-2 scoops of lemonade for a deliciously sour, more refreshing smoothie.
- Add pomegranate drizzle for an indulgent, berry-like twist.
3. Caramel Apple Smoothie

Caramel Apple Smoothie Standard Ingredients
- Green apple smoothie
- caramel drizzle
Instead of compromise my dental work with a real caramel apple, I prefer the tooth-friendly smoothie.
This is definitely the most popular customization to the green apple smoothie, with the caramel sauce ribbons creating a richer, more decadent taste and texture.
This is my go-to smoothie on a warm autumn day, giving me serious nostalgia of the smell of a hot apple pie baking in the oven.
You can ask for this one year-round by requesting caramel drizzle on your Green Apple Smoothies.
Tips From a Barista:
- This is my version of an Apple Jacks smoothie: Golden Eagle Freeze with Caramel Apple Smoothie mix, extra caramel around the cup, with a soft top.
4. Peach & Mango Smoothie

Peach & Mango Smoothie Standard Ingredients
- peach (Half)
- mango smoothie(Half)
- Whipped Cream
The sweet and tangy each and mango combo is a summertime flavor combo.
It’s thirst-quenching, and instantly mentally transports me to some sun-soaked beach somewhere.
The mellow sweetness of the peach and acidity of the mango are both refreshing and comforting, with a kind of buttery texture I can’t get enough of!
This delightful drink is made using half a cup of peach and half a cup of mango smoothies.
This Dutch Bros secret menu item is also highly-customizable, as both ingredients are good team players.
Tips From a Barista:
- This may sound crazy, but order it with a scoop of Tajin. It’s like a peach mangonada that tastes similar to the popular Mexican candy.
- Order it with whip and caramel drizzle. It tastes like peaches and cream with a citrusy twist!
5. Strawberry Smoothie

Strawberry Smoothie Standard Ingredients
- strawberry smoothie
- whipped cream
Oh, how I LOVE the Strawberry Smoothie made parfait-style!
Seriously, this was such a game-changer, I had to actually avoid driving by Dutch Bros for a while because I would crave it every day.
So, the Strawberry Smoothie is simply strawberry puree blended together with ice, topped with whip, and it truly is great on its own.[2]
However, getting it parfait-style is seriously even better than eating a bowl of strawberries and cream.
Parfait-style is where the Broista places either whipped cream or soft top in the bottom, middle, and on the top of the cup!
6. Pink Flamingo

Pink Flamingo Standard Ingredients
- strawberry smoothie (Half)
- peach smoothie (Half)
- whipped cream
- white chocolate drizzle
I actually went out on a limb and initially tried the Pink Flamingo because the color was just too pretty and eye-catching!
I’m actually not a white chocolate fan, but it worked so well with the strawberry and peach smoothie, that it’s become one of my faves.
I love the white chocolate drizzle’s sweet nuttiness and the way it combines seamlessly with the whipped cream on top.
Dutch Bros Rebel drinks are sublime with Pink Flamingo smoothies, and I’ll occasionally grab one before a hike or workout.
7. Mango Smoothie

Total Fat | 4G | 4G | 4G |
Total Carbs | 93G | 137G | 182G |
Sugar | 90G | 133G | 177G |
Mango Smoothie Standard Ingredients
- Mango Smoothie base
The mango smoothie is straightforward, reliably delicious, and really is just like a creamy, tropical mango.
I love the sweet and tart flavor this simple drink brings, thanks to the mango purée.
This is one of the few smoothies I enjoy both with and without whipped cream, and it’s another that goes great with most different flavors of syrups.
Tips From a Barista:
- Try it by adding both blackberry and passionfruit syrups - it’s an explosion of flavor!
8. Peaches & Cream

Peaches & Cream Standard Ingredients
- peach smoothie purée
- Avalanche ice cream
- white chocolate drizzle
Ah yes, the classic Peaches and Cream combo!
This one sets itself apart from the rest, as it’s not an actual smoothie flavor, per se.
Rather, I order it by asking for peach smoothie purée to be blended with Avalanche ice cream and white chocolate drizzle.
If I really want to get crazy, I order whipped cream or a soft top, too.
It tastes more like a ‘classic’ shake that I'd get at a diner, thanks to the inclusion of the milky ice cream.
9. Lava Flow

Lava Flow Standard Ingredients
- mango Smoothie (Half)
- strawberry smoothie(Half)
- strawberry syrup
- strawberry drizzle
Lava Flow is a two-toned OG smoothie that only those who’ve been fans of Dutch Bros for years would remember.
It used to be on the regular menu, but was discontinued some years ago.
However, it is possible to revive it with some secret menu hacks.
This colorful and refreshing fruit drink tastes largely like strawberry, with a sour and almost citrusy hint.
I add a shot of half and half to mine, to make it even more decadent.
How To Order:
- Start by ordering a mango smoothie and add a strawberry smoothie concentrate or strawberry drizzle.
10. Sour Apple

Sour Apple Standard Ingredients
- Green Apple fruit Smoothie (Half)
- Exclusive lemonade
- whipped cream
The sour apple is a secret menu hack ideal for when I want a little more kick in the popular green apple smoothie.
I still enjoy some whipped cream and passionfruit syrup drizzled on top, but weirdly enough, kiwi also tastes good!
I personally find it a bit reminiscent of the green apple Warheads candy, with a more refreshing take.
How to Order:
- Ask for a green apple smoothie with 2 shots of lemonade and whip.
What’s In A Dutch Bros Smoothie?
Dutch Bros offers a small range of core smoothies throughout the year and uses them as bases for seasonal and secret menu items.
Base flavors are green apple, strawberry, mango, and peach. These smoothie mixes are made with a mix of real fruit purée and juice blended with ice.
They’re a perfect Dutch Bros vegan drink treat, as the bases are both vegan and dairy-free (before extras are added).
Some of the extras you can opt in or out of include whipped cream, soft top, drizzles, syrups, and ice cream mix.

3 Ways To Make a Dutch Bros Smoothie Taste Even Better
Just about any Dutch Bros smoothie base alone makes for a tasty drink.
However, over the years I’ve picked up (with the help of my local Broistas and friends) some hot tips for how to amplify the flavor, appearance, and texture!
1. Get A Soft Top
The Dutch Bros coffee soft top is one of the optional final additions to many of the drinks on offer.
It consists of whipped buttermilk and has a similar taste to marshmallows. It is sweet, but not overpoweringly so, and will not change the flavor of the base drink.
We highly recommend adding it to your coffee, hot chocolate, or certain flavors of smoothie.
It is gluten-free, but not vegan or dairy free, and adds more sugar and calories to a drink. However, it can fit into your keto diet, depending on how you have planned out your day.
2. Ask For It Parfait-Style
Parfait-style is definitely not my go-to when I’m watching my calories or sugar intake, but when I want to treat myself, it is my favorite modification.
Neither whip nor soft top is limited to just a crown on the top of the drink.
Asking my Broista for a parfait-style smoothie results in delicious, beautiful layers of luxurious whipped cream or soft top throughout the drink.
It’s less heavy, thicker, creamier, and I love eating it with a spoon!
3. Don't Forget To Add Drizzles And Syrups
Not satisfied with the base smoothie flavors? No problem - customize your drink with a drizzle or some syrups.
There are currently three drizzles and over thirty different syrup options available on the Dutch Bros menu.
If you are watching your sugar intake, there are some sugar-free options as well.
