While I admittedly have a serious caffeine addiction, there are a few non-caffeinated drinks that are so good, they’ve won me over.

They’re so delicious, I sometimes choose them over coffee, which is no easy feat.

From refreshing lemonades to rich and creamy frosts, Dutch Bros has some seriously tasty non-caffeinated treats.

I’ve decided to detail my 15 favorites, to help those who are avoiding caffeine enjoy each trip to DB.

The Dutch Bros menu is pretty extensive, and choosing a caffeine-free drink may not be the easiest to do for newbies.

Here are some tried-and-true drinks that I know I can rely on when I’m in the drive-thru!

1. High Dive Lemonade

Dutch Bros High Dive Lemonade
High Dive Lemonade Standard Ingredients
  • Signature Lemonade
  • pomegranate Syrup
  • peach syrup
  • tropical fruit syrup

This refreshing Dutch Bros lemonade explosion of flavor is one of the tastiest Dutch Bros caffeine-free drinks out there.

The High Dive Lemonade is the non-caffeinated version of the High Dive Rebel, which is a lemonade infused with pomegranate and peach syrups, mixed with tropical fruit syrup--a unique blend of orange, guava, pineapple, and passion fruit.

The sweet, tart drink is one of the newest at DB, and I love ordering it both on ice or blended.

It’s perfect for a hot, summer day or an afternoon by the pool.

How to Order High Dive Lemonade:
  • Simply order either an iced or blended ‘High Dive Lemonade’.
  • Alternatively, it can be ordered as a ‘Palm Beach with real tropical fruit’.

Smoothies Standard Ingredients
  • Fruit Smoothie
  • Whipped Cream

There was a point in time where the smoothie was geared towards health nuts who wanted a delicious, easy way to get in some fruit or protein in one go.

While Dutch Bros offers plenty of fruit-filled smoothies, they’ve stayed true to their creativity and offer wildly decadent options, too.

At Dutch Bros, many smoothies are made with real fruit juice, while others are made with a puree.

Their smoothies come in four refreshing fruit flavors: peach, mango, green apple, and strawberry.

I’ve always recommended DB smoothies to those looking to avoid caffeine and/or dairy as they don’t include either.

Tips from a Barista:
  • Don’t be afraid to add a syrup or two to the smoothie base. I personally love pomegranate and feel it goes well with all the smoothie base flavors.
  • Try ordering it ‘parfait-style’, where the smoothie will be layered in-between whipped cream or soft top.

Ninja Frost Standard Ingredients
  • ice cream Base
  • creme de menthe syrup
  • white chocolate sauce
  • whipped cream

I may love the Ninja Frost more than some of my family members.

If I could recommend any caffeine-free Dutch Bros drink, it would be this masterpiece.

It tastes like mint chocolate chip ice cream on steroids, with white chocolate sauce and whipped cream only adding a new, decadent layer to the flavor.

This popular caffeine-free drink combines white chocolate sauce and creme de menthe syrup blended with ice cream to create a shake perfect for people of any age.

Tips from a Barista:
  • Try ordering it with chocolate drizzle around the cup and over the whip.
  • To avoid a brain freeze, order a Ninja Iced Breve - no coffee. Instead of ice cream, the Broista adds breve (half and half and whole milk).

4. Orange Creamsicle Soda

Dutch Bros Orange Creamsicle Soda
Orange Creamsicle Soda Standard Ingredients
  • Dutch soda water
  • two parts of cream
  • orange syrup
  • vanilla syrup

This nostalgia-invoking version of an Italian soda always reels me in in the summertime.

The Orange Creamsicle Soda drink comes with orange and vanilla syrups mixed with Dutch soda water and two parts of cream.

It can be ordered iced (as a soda) or blended/frost, where the cream is replaced with ice cream.

As a frost, I highly recommend adding white chocolate drizzle on top of the whip!

Electric Blue Lemonade Standard Ingredients
  • signature lemonade
  • lime Syrup
  • blue raspberry syrup

Half of the appeal of the Electric Blue Lemonade is undoubtedly it’s neon blue color.

After all, I can’t be the only one who wanted to try antifreeze when I was a kid because of the color.

Anyway, this lemonade drink is completely safe for consumption, and made with a base of the Dutch Bros signature lemonade, with lime and blue raspberry syrups mixed in.

It’s sweet, tangy, and delicious, with a hint of sour that I just love!

Tips from a Barista:
  • Order it with a soft top and blackberry drizzle for an irresistibly luscious finish.

6. Birthday Cake Dutch Freeze

Dutch Bros Birthday Cake Frost
Birthday Cake Dutch Freeze Standard Ingredients
  • vanilla ice cream
  • white chocolate syrup
  • almond Roca syrup

The Birthday Cake Dutch Freeze is one of the stars of the secret menu, and I’m actually surprised it hasn’t made it to the main menu yet.

I probably enjoy this drink more than actual birthday cake - it’s thick, buttery, with a marked vanilla taste - just like the cake.

Every time I’ve ordered it, my Broista has known exactly what I’m talking about as it’s gained recent popularity from TikTok.

Make sure they add whip and birthday sprinks on top!

How To Order Birthday Cake Dutch Freeze
  • Ask for a vanilla ice cream blended with white chocolate syrup and almond Roca syrup to achieve this sweet and creamy drink.

White Chocolate Frost Standard Ingredients
  • ice cream base
  • white chocolate sauce
  • whipped cream

I find the White Chocolate Frost to be a nice base for my drinks, rather than a drink all on its own.

A white chocolate canvas, if you will.

Made with vanilla ice cream and white chocolate syrup, topped with whipped cream, it’s sweet without being too saccharine.

For me, the white chocolate is just too similar in flavor to the ice cream base, that prefer adding in another dimension like kiwi (I know it sounds crazy, but it works).

Tips from a Barista:
  • This isn’t even on the secret menu, but it’s my version of ‘Watermelon Jolly Rancher’: take the White Chocolate Frost, and add pomegranate and watermelon syrups.

8. German Chocolate Frost

Dutch Bros German Chocolate Frost
German Chocolate Frost Standard Ingredients
  • vanilla ice cream
  • Caramel Syrup
  • Coconut
  • Dark Chocolate

I absolutely love German Chocolate cake, as well as peppermint patties and chocolate turtles.

The German Chocolate Frost kind of combines all of those flavors into one, with dark chocolate, coconut, and caramel syrups.

This drink is one higher in calories and sugars, but I like to switch for sugar-free caramel and dark chocolate syrups.

I also really like ordering it as an iced German Chocolate Mocha, where the ice cream is subbed for chocolate milk.

It tastes fantastic with a soft top!

9. Chocolate Milk

Dutch Bros Chocolate Milk with Coconut Syrup and Whipped Cream
Chocolate Milk Standard Ingredients
  • exclusive chocolate milk

Speaking of chocolate milk, sometimes it’s just good on its own.

This one tastes a million times better than the chocolate milk I used to drink in the school cafeteria at lunchtime.

That's why Dutch Bros Chocolate Milk is one of the best caffeine-free drinks, in our opinion.

This is another great base drink to add other ingredients to spice it up.[1]

Syrups and sauces like caramel syrup, Irish cream, white chocolate, chocolate macadamia nut, and vanilla syrups all go wonderfully!

BHQ Insider Tip: Ask for cinnamon sprinkles and see how it magically transforms the drink!
Tips from a Barista:
  • While Dutch Bros’ signature chocolate milk is pre-made with 2% milk, it can be ordered with alternative milks, instead. However, for the same level of sweetness, order twice the amount of chocolate sauce.

Cotton Candy Frost Standard Ingredients
  • vanilla ice cream
  • blue raspberry syrup
  • White Chocolate Sauce
  • whipped cream

The Cotton Candy Frost is not a drink I could have every day, nor every week. However, it’s a fun little dessert-like drink that I start craving when the fair comes into town.

It is made with vanilla ice cream, white chocolate sauce, and blue raspberry syrup.

The combination of flavors does sound rather incongruent, but it somehow works.

It’s absolutely as sweet as regular cotton candy, though, so I’ll normally switch out one of the ingredients for a sugar-free alternative.

11. Vanilla Bean Frost

Dutch Bros Vanilla Bean Frost
Vanilla Bean Frost Standard Ingredients
  • ice cream base
  • chocolate macadamia nut Syrup
  • vanilla syrup

The Vanilla Bean Frost was a nice surprise for me, as I expected it to be quite, well...vanilla.

However, the combination of the vanilla and chocolate macadamia nut syrups made it more complex, with a notable nutty taste I love.

I always order this one with whipped cream and caramel drizzle, for a little extra richness.

Tips from a Barista:
  • This drink is also known by many as “Toasted Mellow”, so if my Broista doesn’t recognize the Vanilla Bean Frost name, I’ll refer them to that one.

12. Italian Soda

Dutch Bros Watermelon Italian Soda
Italian Soda Standard Ingredients
  • sparkling soda water
  • different flavor combinations

For some reason, I feel like I’m seeing less and less of Italian sodas around.

Luckily, Dutch Bros offers a wide array of these sparkling soda waters infused with just about any flavor under the sun, finished with a bit of cream.

I like to pretend I’m just staying well-hydrated by ordering one of these, though in reality, it’s probably much healthier than most drinks out there.

Dutch Bros has so many flavors, that I realistically could order a different flavor combo every single day.

Tips from a Barista:
  • Try an ‘Orange Creamsicle Italian Soda’ with orange syrup, vanilla syrup, and 2 oz. of cream floated at the top.
  • Try a ‘Cream Soda’ by adding vanilla, honey, and salted caramel syrups.

Strawberry Frost Standard Ingredients
  • Ice Cream Base
  • Strawberry syrup
  • whipped cream

Sometimes, I’m looking for a no-frills, sweet, and simple drink.

The Strawberry Frost fits that description perfectly, consisting of just ice cream, strawberry syrup, and whipped cream on top.

I love ordering this frost ‘parfait-style’ with whipped cream, so there are alternating layers of the frost and whip to create a strawberries-and-cream-like experience.

I also find this to be a super popular drink with kids, and it’s not packed full of sugar so much as those with various types of syrups.

14. French Toast Frost

Dutch Bros French Toast Frost
French Toast Frost Standard Ingredients
  • Ice Cream Base
  • brown sugar
  • cinnamon
  • white chocolate syrup
  • vanilla ice cream

I don’t know what it is about French Toast, but I could probably eat it every single day if I could get away with it.

The French Toast Frost is a great alternative, combining brown sugar, cinnamon, white chocolate syrup, and vanilla ice cream blended into perfection.

The French Toast Frost is part of the coffee shop's secret menu, though most Broistas know the drink already.

I personally think it tastes weird with any customizations or soft top, so I order it with whipped cream instead.

How to Order French Toast Frost:
  • Order a White Chocolate Frost with brown sugar and cinnamon.

Double Chocolate Dutch Cocoa Standard Ingredients
  • chocolate milk
  • chocolate sauce
  • whipped cream

Last but definitely not least on this list is the Dutch Chocolate Dutch Cocoa. This drink takes the chocolate milk up a notch by adding more chocolate sauce to it.

The result is a more luscious, bold-flavored chocolate milk that tastes more for ‘adults’, if that makes sense.

Just like with regular chocolate milk from Dutch Bros, it can also be substituted with any other non-dairy milk.

How To Order Caffeine-Free Drinks At Dutch Bros

Caffeine-free drinks are very common orders at Dutch Bros, so there’s no need to worry about any special way of doing things.

One thing I’d recommend is to state the temperature of the drink, first. For example, indicate whether it’ll be hot, iced, a frost, etcetera.

That’s the order in which Broistas input the drinks - otherwise they have to wait until the entire drink order is stated, which can be more complicated and leave more room for error.

For any additions like syrups or whip, leave that until the very end of the drink order.

For example, “I’d like to order a French Toast Frost with whipped cream and an Iced Electric Blue Lemonade with a soft top and raspberry drizzle”.

How Much Do These Caffeine-Free Drinks Cost?

The average price of Dutch Bros caffeine-free drinks ranges from $1.75 to $6.50 without modifications.
