Caffeine sensitivity is why I read labels before I open a drink. If I have already had enough caffeine for the day, even a small extra dose can leave me feeling jittery.

I do not treat every drink the same anymore. I check caffeine and serving size first, because more than one can adds up fast.

That pushed me to check Bubly’s labels. I wanted a quick answer on whether regular Bubly fit my limit and whether Bubly Bounce belonged in the caffeinated bucket.

Regular Bubly is flavored carbonated water, and the cans I keep seeing are naturally caffeine free.

Bubly Bounce is the caffeinated version, so I read it as the offshoot rather than the default can.

What I actually pay attention to is the label, not the branding.

Bubly Sparkling Water

I usually spot Bubly by the flavor name before I get to the nutrition panel, and that is where I check whether it is original or Bounce.

That matters because sparkling water can look neutral even when the can is carrying caffeine.

The good news is Bubly sparkling water doesn’t have any caffeine at all!

Original Bubly is flavored sparkling water, so the taste comes from the flavoring, not a stimulant.

The flavors I see most often are Strawberry, Cherry, Lime, and Blackberry, though the lineup changes.

I lean toward Strawberry, but the flavor choice does not change the caffeine answer on original Bubly: it is caffeine free.

That is why I use it like any other caffeine-free sparkling water.

Bubly Bounce

With Bubly Bounce, the packaging is the first clue, and I still check the label before I assume anything.

I care about caffeine per serving, not just the name on the can.

Well, a 12 fl. oz. can of Bubly Bounce contains 35 mg of caffeine.

The amount is still modest compared with coffee or many energy drinks, but I treat it differently from original Bubly.

I do not treat it as a general pick-me-up. For me it is a lightly caffeinated sparkling water.

If I am already watching caffeine, I keep it to one can and skip coffee with it.

Drinking two cans can already disrupt your sleep, especially if you have already had another caffeinated beverage like coffee.

Different Bubly flavors & their caffeine content

What keeps Bubly on my list is the flavor variety. I buy it when I want something with enough taste to replace soda without the sugar.

Most original flavors are calorie free and sugar free, and the caffeinated cans are labeled separately.

I check caffeine per serving first, then serving size so I can total the whole can correctly.

Bubly Sparkling Water And Bubly Bounce Sparkling Water

Caffeine in Bubly versus other sparkling waters

When I compare Bubly with other sparkling waters, I mostly compare caffeine level and whether the flavor still feels clean enough to drink on its own.

Bubly vs LaCroix

LaCroix is another caffeine-free option, so it sits in the same no-stimulant lane as original Bubly. For me, that means there is no added caffeine to count.

Bubly Bounce makes more sense if I want carbonation plus caffeine in one can. LaCroix does not fill that role because it stays caffeine free.

Bubly vs AHA

AHA is another sparkling water I put in the caffeinated group. Once I compare labels, I notice whether a can is meant to stay plain or act more like a light stimulant drink.

In the products I checked, AHA’s current standard sparkling water did not support the 30 mg caffeine figure: Coca-Cola lists its caffeine content as N/A and the ingredients as carbonated water and natural flavors. PepsiCo previously described Bubly Bounce as containing 35 mg of caffeine per 12 fl oz can and 47 mg per 16 fl oz can. If I am avoiding caffeine, I stick with original Bubly.

FAQs

Is Bubly Sparkling Water an energy drink?

I still do not file Bubly Bounce as an energy drink. It has caffeine, but the number is low enough that I think of it as lightly caffeinated sparkling water.

Does Bubly have alcohol?

It does not contain alcohol, though people can use the plain flavors as mixers. That is separate from what comes in the can.

Is drinking Bubly healthy?

I would not treat sparkling water as a health supplement. For me it is just a drink choice, and the caffeinated version still has to fit my total caffeine for the day.

Can you drink Bubly before bed?

I can drink the caffeine-free version in the evening without worrying about caffeine. Once caffeine is in the mix, I use the same cutoff I use for coffee and other caffeinated drinks.

Is Bubly healthier than Coke?

Compared with Coca-Cola, original Bubly is the simpler option: no sugar, no calories, and no caffeine. That is usually why I choose it when I want bubbles without soda territory.

Can you drink Bubly while fasting?

When I am checking fasting rules, I treat the original can as a zero-calorie drink and follow the specific rule set I am using.

Conclusion

In practice, the two versions are simple: original Bubly is caffeine free, and Bubly Bounce is caffeinated. If I want a fizzy drink, I reach for the original; if I want caffeine with the bubbles, I choose Bounce.

That is how I use them now. Original Bubly is my default, and Bounce only makes sense when I have room in my caffeine budget.
