Lately, I've been switching one or two of my daily cups of Starbucks coffee to caffeine-free versions (no more late-night deadline coffees for me!)

I was worried that this would mean I couldn't drink many of my fave Starbucks drinks - I am pleased to report that that's not the case!

In this guide, I'll show you all the best Starbucks caffeine-free drinks for you to try on your next visit.

Starbucks has done a great job of keeping strong flavors in their caffeine-free options. In fact, many of their caffeine-free options are so good that even seasoned coffee lovers are switching to them.

Here’s my definitive list of the best hot and cold non caffeinated Starbucks drinks that you need to try:

1. Steamed apple juice

Starbucks Steamed Apple Juice

As an apple juice fiend, Starbucks' Steamed Apple Juice is my ultimate autumn drink.[1] It's got an intense apple flavor enhanced by the steaming process, which gives it a slightly tangy kick.

It’s made from 100% apple juice, and is comfort food in liquid form for me.

This is basically the caffeine- and alcohol-free version of a hot apple cider, and one of the best autumn Starbucks beverages.

There are 220 calories and 50 grams of sugar per serving but no caffeine, making it perfect anytime of day for both kids and kids at heart.

Tips From A Barista:  Try asking for an extra cinnamon shot or a pump of cinnamon dolce to really up the spiced ante. This does add a few more calories, but it's totally worth it to add a new dimension to the flavor.

2. Caramel Apple Spice

Starbucks Caramel Apple Spice

What's better than steamed apple juice? A caramel cinnamon twist on apple juice.

A Caramel Apple Spice is made by mixing steamed apple juice with cinnamon syrup, and it’s then topped with whipped cream and a caramel drizzle, with some extra cinnamon dolce sprinkles on top.

The Caramel Apple Spice is a fun twist on the original Steamed Apple Juice, and it’s popular with younger drinkers (and me!)[2]

The whipped cream both looks cute dusted with cinnamon dolce sprinkles but also brings a lovely creaminess to the sweet apple flavor.

There's no caffeine, but it's one of the sweetest Starbucks drinks on the menu with 380 calories and 70 grams of sugar in a serving.

3. Peppermint White Hot Chocolate

Starbucks Peppermint White Hot Chocolate

Who doesn't love a hot chocolate? Well, the Starbucks hot chocolate selection is amazing, and they're all caffeine-free!

I'm a Peppermint Hot Chocolate fiend during the holiday season but even I was a little hesitant here. White hot chocolate can be incredibly sweet (even for me!) - yet this was still delightful!

This Starbucks hot chocolate made with white chocolate mocha sauce, peppermint-flavored syrup, steamed milk with cocoa butter, and then topped with whipped cream and chocolate curls - with optional extra white chocolate sauce drizzled on top.

The Peppermint White Hot Chocolate is one of the most calorific Starbucks drinks available.

There are 520 calories and 74 grams of sugar in a serving of this hot chocolate, so this is probably best as an occasional treat.

4. Blended Caramel Ribbon Crunch Crème Frappuccino

Starbucks Caramel Ribbon Crunch Crème Frappuccino

When I'm out with my nieces and nephews, they always ask for the Blended Caramel Ribbon Crunch Crème Frappuccino - they can't get enough!

It's all about caramel flavor with this Ribbon Crunch Crème Frappuccino, and the dark caramel sauce also adds a slight bitterness to help balance it out.

The Ribbon Crunch is a rich and creamy dessert drink that both kids and kids at heart will love!

It’s made by blending caramel syrup, milk, and ice, and then topped with a layer of dark caramel sauce, whipped cream, a caramel drizzle, and a crunchy caramel coating to give some texture on top of the whipped cream.

There are 470 calories and 60 grams of sugar per serving, so even though it’s caffeine-free, you definitely shouldn’t consider it a healthy option.

Tips From A Barista: You can change the whole milk for coconut milk to make it a bit less calorific.

5. Mint Majesty Tea

Starbucks Mint Majesty Tea

With a name like Mint Majesty, you might imagine this to be a rich, creamy mint flavored drink, but it's actually a caffeine-free herbal tea.

This hot tea is made using mint and verbena lemon to create a soothing drink that is quite mild but still noticeable. The mint and verbena complement each other well and always taste refreshing.

These herbals teas are usually served hot, but I sometimes ask for the cold version if it's hot out.

Starbucks herbal teas like the Mint Majesty are a staple for me when I'm travelling and want something comforting to wind down with in my hotel.

There's no caffeine, no sugar, and no calories, so this hot tea is an excellent alternative for those watching what they eat.

Mint herbals teas have been proven to improve your digestion and relax your body, so this is the perfect caffeine-free option for those looking to unwind after a stressful day.

6. Milk Steamer

Starbucks Vanilla Creme Milk Steamer

The Starbucks milk steamer is a good old-fashioned winter warmer.

It's literally just steamed milk, and you can choose from a range of dairy or non-dairy steamed milk options (I prefer oat milk!).

The milk steamer forms the basis of most of the hot caffeine-free Crème drinks that people know and love.

The milk steamer was a staple of my Starbucks rotation when my nieces and nephews were younger - now I get it with honey when I want something simple and comforting.

There’s no caffeine, 200 calories, and 19 grams of sugar in a serving.

Tips From A Barista: You can customize the steamed milk by adding syrup, strawberry puree, sauce, or whipped cream if you like it sweeter.

7. Lemonade

Starbucks Strawberry Acai Lemonade Refresher

You can never go wrong with a Starbucks classic, and their lemonade is pretty special.

Water, lemon verbena, lemon juice, lemon oil, sugar, and ice are all blended together to create this sweet/sour summer drink that's the ultimate refresher on a hot day.

There are a ton of flavors to choose from and each is just as refreshing and fruity as the last. The new blended Lemonade Refreshers are especially tasty - my fave is the Frozen Strawberry Acai one!

Sweet, tart, refreshing - what more could you ask for from the perfect lemonade?

There are 120 calories and 27 grams of sugar in a single serving of these cold drinks so make sure to be mindful if you are watching your sugar intake.

However, there's no caffeine at all in a Starbucks lemonade drink and you can order this completely caffeine-free drink year-round and every single Starbucks should stock the ingredients.

8. Blended Strawberry Lemonade

Starbucks Blended Strawberry Lemonade

Starbucks' Blended Strawberry Lemonade is a summer favorite of mine and another classic order when I'm out with little ones.

They're made by blending lemonade with lemon verbena, strawberry puree syrup, and ice, and it’s great at cooling you down quickly.

There are 190 calories and 46 grams of sugar per serving and have absolutely no caffeine.

Starbucks' Blended Strawberry Lemonade is popular with younger drinkers because of the sugary taste and tart strawberry puree, and parents approve because it’s caffeine-free.

This is the perfect summer beverage for kids, but also makes a great sweet alternative for big kids (like me)!

9. Iced Passion Tango Tea Lemonade

Starbucks Iced Passion Tango Tea Lemonade

What's better than iced tea? Iced tea mixed with fruit and lemonade!

The Iced Passion Tango Tea Lemonade is a light summer drink that is a sweeter version of the OG Passion Tango Iced Tea.

These cold drinks are made with lemonade and green tea with extracts of hibiscus, citric acid, cinnamon, apple, licorice root, lemon verbena, and lemongrass.

All of these flavors zing on your tongue with every sip - perfect for cooling down as temperatures rise.

The Starbucks Tango Tea Lemonade has a hint of caffeine from the green coffee extract, but it's also only got 50 calories and 11 grams of sugar per serving.

10. Iced Passion Tango Tea

Starbucks Iced Passion Tango Tea

The Iced Passion Tango Tea is my go-to drink when I want to hydrate and watch my caffeine intake.

There’s no sugar, no calories, and no caffeine but the fruit tea still has a noticeable taste.

The Iced Passion Tango Tea is made using hibiscus, lemongrass, and apple flavors which are all shaken over ice.

I love its striking red color and how the herbal notes mix with the apple ones - so refreshing and light!

Fruit teas aren’t for everyone (I certainly didn't love them growing up) and tend to be preferred by older drinkers.

The green coffee extract in the blend gives this iced tea a slight hit of caffeine, and this Starbucks tea has a fresh flavor which is perfect for a summer’s morning.

Tips From A Barista: You can get a stronger tea flavor by asking for no water and light ice.

11. Flavored Sparkling Water

Starbucks Sparkling Water

When I want to hydrate but feel like I'm sipping on a healthy soda, I reach for Starbucks' range of Galvanina and Spindrift sparkling waters.

Starbucks offers lime, raspberry, and grapefruit flavors, but it’s a light taste that’s really not overpowering.

I used to hate sparkling water with a passion but Starbucks' water has turned me into a fan!

These bottled waters are so refreshing and easy to just grab and go - perfect for when I'm travelling or running errands.

They are caffeine-free and have 0 calories and no sugar, making them the perfect alternative drink for those watching their figure.

They come in an attractive bottle that I love reusing afterward as a refillable water bottle!

When I just want a simple, light, caffeine-free Starbucks beverage, these are the ones for me.

12. White Chocolate Crème Frappuccino

Starbucks White Chocolate Creme Frappuccino

I've been on a real Frappuccino kick lately - I just can't get enough of these desserts in a cup! Especially the White Chocolate Crème Frappuccino.

The White Chocolate Crème Frappuccino is one of the sweetest Starbucks options and has a light, chocolatey taste throughout.

It’s made by blending white chocolate mocha sauce, Crème Frappuccino syrup, steamed milk, and ice, and is then topped with whipped cream.

This is another great option for the entire family - my little ones love sipping on Frappucinos and feeling like big kids.

There's an impressive 390 calories and 48 grams of sugar per cup so this Starbucks drink is certainly not for those watching their diet.

However, there's no caffeine, so the White Chocolate Crème Frappuccino is safe for kids or those avoiding caffeine.

As a lover of sweet dessert drinks, this one is a must-try for me.

Tips From A Barista: Try adding fruit puree to your White Chocolate Frappuccino for a fun twist on a classic.

13. Strawberry Crème Frappuccino

Starbucks Strawberry Creme Frappuccino

The Starbucks Strawberry Crème Frappuccino is the caffeine-free version of the very popular Strawberry Frappuccino.

It’s made by blending ice, milk, and strawberry puree and is then topped with another layer of strawberry puree and vanilla whipped cream.

Honestly, it has a very special place in my heart - I've been getting it every summer since I was a kid.

It's sweet strawberry milkshake taste is so nostalgic for me and is the perfect treat in the summer months.

It works so well for my little ones since it's caffeine-free, and the combo of vanilla and strawberry is just classic. It reminds me of strawberries and cream, which is never a bad thing!

It has 370 calories and 51 grams of sugar per serving, but the tart strawberry throughout helps balance the sweetness.

14. Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino

Starbucks Vanilla Bean Creme Frappucino

The Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino is one of the most popular cold Starbucks drinks, and it's available in every store year-round.

It's made by blending vanilla syrup, milk, and ice, then topped with whipped cream.

I love how it's very similar to a vanilla milkshake in terms of taste and texture and is creamy and smooth throughout.

The mellow-tasting Vanilla Bean Crème manages to still be quite light, and it's not overwhelming to drink.

For me, there's nothing better when I want something sweet and creamy yet simple to cool down with.

The Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino has 320 calories and 35 grams of sugar per serving, but it is one of the best caffeine-free drinks at Starbucks.

Tips From A Barista: Try adding extra vanilla syrup and vanilla bean powder on top of the cream for an even stronger taste.

15. Pistachio Crème Frappuccino

Starbucks Pistachio Creme Frappuccino

So, I've never really been a big pistachio person - until I tried the Pistachio Crème Frappuccino!

It’s made by blending pistachio syrup flavor, milk, and ice, and then topped with whipped cream and a salted brown butter topping.

I found that in the caffeinated version, the coffee really overwhelmed the taste, and there was only a hint of pistachio.

The caffeine-free version is a lot nuttier, and the pistachio blends really well with the milk and cream to give a smooth, light, flavorsome drink.

The salted brown butter topping just adds an extra layer of flavor that has me coming back for more!

Honestly, this is my drink of choice when I want something a bit different or more 'grown-up' than standard Starbucks Frappuccinos.

There are 360 calories and 45 grams of sugar per serving, and it’s one of the best caffeine-free drinks for nut lovers.

16. Bottle Fruit Juice

Starbucks Evolution Fresh Super Fruit Greens Juice

Starbucks bottled fruit juices are a great way to inject some goodness into your body while avoiding all of the caffeine.

They offer apple, orange, raspberry, lemon and lime, and other kids' blends so you can choose all your favorite fruit flavors.

They come in 250ml or 500ml bottles which are easy to carry, and there are kids cartons available, too.

These caffeine-free drinks are the perfect grab-and-go pick-me-up for kids and adults - they save my life when I'm rushing about with my little ones!

There are 200-300 calories in a serving, depending on which you choose, but they are made entirely from fruit juice with no added sugar or sweeteners.

What Caffeinated Starbucks Drinks Can Be Made Decaf?

As you can see, there are a lot of caffeine-free options on the regular Starbucks menu, but they also offer decaffeinated espresso and coffee.

These decaf coffee blends can be used as the basis of your regular coffee drinks so you can get the same flavor, but without the caffeine.

Decaf is available for all coffees, lattes, cappuccinos, and other popular options. It works just as well with different flavors, syrups, and additions like whipped cream, and can be used as the base for lots of great tasting caffeine-free Starbucks drinks.

To order a decaffeinated version, just ask your barista, and they should be able to make it for you.

Just bear in mind that even decaf coffee isn’t completely caffeine-free, and 3-5% of the caffeine will still be present.
