I’ve decided to detail my 15 best Starbucks Refreshers that always quench my thirst, and cravings for a sweet treat!

Here are our favorite refreshers - both official and secret menu - ranked by taste!

1. Strawberry Acai Lemonade

Strawberry Acai Lemonade is the perfect balance of sweet and sour, and I can’t go a week without it.

This Starbucks refresher is made with the perfect blend of strawberry acai refresher base, lemonade, and real freeze-dried strawberries, giving it a refreshing and fruity taste that's hard to resist.

The Strawberry Acai Lemonade’s soft red hue transports me to a sunset on a tropical beach somewhere, from the very first sip.

While the regular Strawberry Acai Refresher is great, the lemonade adds a boldness that I can’t get enough of.

2. Sunset Dragon Drink

The Sunset Drink is actually a secret menu item spin-off of the beloved Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade. 

The way to order this beauty is to ask for the MDL, skip frozen fruit, add extra peach, shaken, topped off with Passion Tango Tea.

Not only is it one of the most delicious, berry/tangy drinks out there, it’s also one of the most beautiful. 

With notes of hibiscus and apple, it feels like being whisked off to the Hawaiian islands.

3. Dragon Drink

I’m a huge fan of Starbucks coconut drinks, and if any of the Refreshers showcase coconut milk, it’s the Dragon Drink. 

This Instagram-worthy refresher starts with a base of mango dragonfruit refresher mixed with creamy coconut milk, creating a luscious and refreshing combination of fruity flavors.

Topped with freeze-dried dragonfruit pieces, it's not only visually stunning but offers an explosion of real fruit juice in every sip.

A Grande size has 130 calories, 23 grams of sugar, and 45 mg of caffeine from a green coffee extract.[1]

4. Blue Drink

Starbucks has a ton of different pink-hued drinks, but blue (or purple, rather) drinks are hard to come by.

Starbucks’ Blue Drink is Iced Passion Tango Tea, with soy milk instead of water and add vanilla syrup. 

It’s simply fruity and creamy, and tastes almost like a milk tea (boba would be a great addition, Starbucks!). 

5. Sour Patch Kids Refresher

This is one of the best Starbucks raspberry drinks secret menu refreshers! 

The Sour Patch Kids Refresher tastes shockingly like the candy, but not quite as intense. 

It’s essentially a Venti Strawberry Acai Lemonade with 3 pumps of raspberry syrup and 3 pumps of classic syrup.

Once that’s done, top it with passion tango tea and enjoy an explosion of sweet and sour flavors!

6. Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade

Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade Refresher from Starbucks is one of my summer go-tos! 

Combining sweet Mango Dragonfruit Refresher base blended with tangy lemonade, I not only love the intense taste but the vibrant pink color. 

The freeze-dried dragonfruit pieces give it a unique texture, too.

And with only 140 calories and 31 grams of sugar in a Grande, it's a guilt-free dragon fruit treat you‘ll burn off with just 30 minutes of walking.

7. Paradise Drink

I absolutely love all things pineapple and coconut milk, so when I found a drink that combines BOTH, I became instantly obsessed. 

The Paradise drink combines pineapple passionfruit refresher base and creamy coconut milk, creating a velvety-smooth mouthfeel. 

It’s sweet and tangy, but the coconut milkiness rounds out the acidity and keeps it from being TOO sweet. 

As for calories - there are 140 calories in a Grande cup, 45 mg of caffeine, 23 grams of sugar and 2.5 grams of fat.[2]

8. Pineapple Passionfruit

Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher is super similar to the last drink but is topped off with real freeze-dried pineapple for extra pizzazz.

The freeze-dried fruit adds a chewier texture that I really enjoy. 

Plus, the nutritional information is so favorable and is actually one of the refreshers that are lower in sugar. 

Think of this as the lighter version of a regular refresher or other drinks from your local Starbucks since it’s only 100 calories and 19 grams of sugar.

9. Strawberry Açaí Refresher

Strawberry Açaí Refresher is packed full of clean berry flavor without being too sweet. 

It’s one of my favorites because of how much it tastes like genuine strawberry and açaí, rather than some fake interpretation of the fruits. 

I feel like it’s a great “intro” refresher to those who haven’t tried them before or don’t want anything too crazy. 

As for how many calories are in a Strawberry Acai refresher - it’s 100! And only 21 grams of sugar and 45 mg of caffeine for that gentle kick.

10. Firecracker Ombre Drink

With a name like Firecracker Ombre, there’s no way it could be anything but wild and exciting.

The beautiful red-to-yellow gradient is super satisfying - almost as much as the mango and raspberry flavors contrasting the sour lemonade. 

I don’t really like anything too sweet nor too sour, and the Firecracker Ombre creates the perfect balance. 

It’s a Mango Dragon Fruit Lemonade with 1 pump of raspberry syrup and mix that separately.

It’s then poured over ice and topped off with Passion Tango Tea.

11. Pink Drink

Starbucks Pink Drink with Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam

I first spotted the Pink Drink on TikTok, admittedly because of how stunning the soft pink-and-white bev looked.

It’s super simple to make, mixing coconut milk with a Strawberry Acai base and icy strawberries. 

It almost tastes like a slightly tropical twist on strawberry milk! 

On the nutritional side of things, the regular version (no additional pumps) of Pink Drink is 140 calories, with 25 grams of sugar and 2.5 grams of fat.[3]

12. Mango Dragonfruit

The Mango Dragonfruit Refresher is one of the most popular of its kind, and I can see why.

It’s a saucy blend of Mango Dragonfruit Refresher base and freeze-dried dragonfruit pieces.

It has a mild and sophisticated flavor perfect for enjoying on a garden stroll or while studying for finals. 

And, to top things off, this pink drink is only 90 calories with 19 grams of sugar, so you can sip on it without a care in the world.

13. Pineapple Passionfruit Lemonade

I’m going to be honest: I do feel like the Pineapple Passionfruit Lemonade is a little uninspired. 

However, that doesn’t mean that it’s not still tasty and thirst-quenching. 

It consists of a Pineapple Passionfruit Base, lemonade, and freeze-dried pineapple chunks, all shaken with ice for a super chill sip.

14. WandaVision Refresher

After a few sips of these, and I definitely feel like I have superhuman powers! 

The Wandavision Refreshers are a Trenta Strawberry Acai Refresher, subbing the water for a guava juice blend.

Add 3 scoops of strawberries and top off with vanilla sweet cream cold foam for an indulgent, succulent cocktail of flavors and textures! 

15. Fuzzy Peach Refresher

I absolutely love peach drinks, ever since Snapple’s peach back in the day. 

The Fuzzy Peach Refresher reminds me of those fondly, combining a Mango Dragonfruit Refresher with no water, subbing peach juice, a splash of coconut milk, and 2 pumps of vanilla. 

It’s a delightful balance of sweetness with a subtle tartness and softness from the coconut milk. 

Together, the vibrant and harmonious fusion of ingredients capture the essence of a tropical paradise.

Unlike traditional caffeinated drinks, Starbucks Refreshers include a green coffee extract from unroasted arabica coffee beans, giving a Starbucks Refreshers beverage its unique flavor and a moderate caffeine content (45 mg).

Higher caffeine content than iced teas - but still moderate.

Every (well, almost every) Starbucks barista will tell you that Starbucks' secret menu isn’t a thing. And they would be right.

Starbucks' Secret Menu Refreshers don’t exist!

However, what exists is figuring out new combinations of flavors to make those “secret menu drinks.”

With that said - here’s a piece of advice: learn how to order your “secret menu item.”

Don’t expect your barista to know how many pumps of raspberry syrup go in your drink of choice. They don’t have to know that. You do.

For example:

  • If you say, "I'd like extra peach juice and some vanilla sweet cream cold foam in my ice-cold lemonade," - that's what you'll get.
  • If you ask for a "Cotton candy, super-berry, pink lemonade Starbucks' secret menu Refresher" - your barista might have a panic attack.

And your name will definitely end up misspelled!
