It’s nutty, lighter on calories, and vegan-friendly - how could I not love almond milk in my Starbucks orders.

I love the combo so much, I’m pretty sure I could be considered an expert in the matter.

However, there are virtually endless possibilities, so I’m going to share my 9 favorite Starbucks almond milk drinks I can’t go without!

I’ll even throw in a few tips on how to best order them, and some tasty modifications to try!

In this overview, I have 9 of the best Starbucks almond milk drinks to try.[1]

This alternative milk makes everything from macchiatos to Frappuccinos taste more interesting, with a nutty flavor I find only amplifies already-delicious drinks.

1. Cinnamon Almond Milk Macchiato

Starbucks Cinnamon Almond Milk Macchiato

The Cinnamon Almond Milk Macchiato is cozy, and tastes like that feeling of setting up the Christmas tree and putting up the lights.

It just tastes ‘festive’, and is perfect both iced and hot (though I much prefer hot).

This Starbucks cinnamon drink is made with an espresso roast along with cinnamon sauce, caramel sauce, creamy almond milk, and sprinkled with some cinnamon dolce topping.

It’s definitely Horchata-inspired, and contains around 200 calories in a grande size.

2. Honey Almond Milk Nitro Cold Brew

Honey Almond-milk Nitro Cold Brew

I’ve always been a fan of Nitro Cold Brew and liked the idea of adding almond milk, but it never quite turned out right.

That is, until I tasted the Honey Almond Milk Nitro Cold Brew!

This particular drink is made with brewed coffee along with a honey blend that adds just a touch of sweetness.

It offers a jolt of caffeine, but it also has a fantastic creamy texture and the right amount of sweet to cut down any bitterness.[2]

It’s one of my favorite options when I’m really watching my sugar intake, too!

It  doesn’t have a lot of calories - the grande size only has 50 calories.

Just bear in mind that Starbucks cold brew is really strong, and there's over 250mg of caffeine in a single serving of the honey almond cold brew.

3. Honey Almond Milk Cold Brew

Honey Almond Milk Cold Brew

This one involves regular cold brew, combining honey and creamy almond milk to create a perfectly balanced taste in every sip.

Similar to the nitro cold brew, I like to customize the number of espresso shots and honey shots according to how sweet or strong I want it.

This particular drink is made with ice and brewed coffee along with a honey blend.

It also only has 50 calories in a grande cold brew, but, as the name suggests, it can only be ordered cold.

4. Honey Almond Milk Flat White

Flat White and Honey Almond Milk Flat White

This is a smooth, sweet, and simple drink that I find very comforting and easy on the stomach.

It isn’t strong, thanks to the heavy milk content.

This drink is made with Starbucks’s signature Blonde Espresso Roast along with their signature honey blend, and creamy almond milk.

It may be basic, but it has a fantastic balanced flavor and the right amount of nuttiness with a creamy texture.

This drink can only be ordered hot, and contains 120 calories in a grande.

5. Starbucks Almond Milk Caffe Misto

Caffe Misto From Starbucks

A great drink served at Starbucks that is not commonly known by most is the Almond Milk Caffe Misto.

It’s a blend of coffee that has been freshly brewed along with steamed almond milk (in a 1:1 ratio).

Due to the higher milk content, it’s very silky and smooth, rather than sharp and bitter.

While this Starbucks hot drink can’t be ordered iced, it’s the perfect plant based milk alternative to the classic flat white, and great for white coffee lovers like me.

In terms of calories, this drink has about 110 calories for a grande and is a distinct blend that you can’t go wrong with.

Tips From A Barista: You can choose the type of roast that you’d like to go with the almond milk Caffe Misto, whether it be the signature espresso roast, blonde espresso roast or decaf espresso.

6. Starbucks Almond Milk Mocha Frappuccino

Starbucks Almond Milk Mocha Frappuccino

The first time I tried a Starbucks Almond Milk Mocha Frappuccino was when my friend came over to study, and made me try hers.

I instantly fell in love with this Almond Joy-type milkshake, and get it every now-and-then when I want to live on the edge.

It's made with mocha sauce, Frappuccino roast coffee, almond milk, blended with ice.

I get an extra shot of espresso and extra pump of mocha sauce with whipped cream on top, but I really like that rich, bold flavor.

In terms of the calories, this drink is about 370 calories in one cup.

Tips From A Barista: I love ordering this drink affogato-style with a hot espresso shot poured over the top.

7. Starbucks Hazelnut Latte with Almond Milk

The Starbucks Hazelnut Latte with Almond Milk is simple in ingredients yet complex and smooth in flavor.

The almond milk and hazelnut works together perfectly and creates this nutty flavor that's absolutely irresistible.

It's typically made with two shots of Blonde Espresso followed by three pumps of hazelnut syrup.

Whether hot or cold, I absolutely love the Blonde Espresso and almond milk combo!

It’s about 190 calories for a grande, and you can customize the toppings according to your preferences.

8. Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte

Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte

When the holidays come around, I put on my coat and head on over to Starbucks for their Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte!

The seasonal drink is made with sugar cookie flavored syrup, Blonde Espresso, and steamed almond milk.[3]

This drink is best hot and topped with red and green sprinkles for that festive touch.

It’s essentially Christmas in a coffee cup, and as I’m a huge holiday lover, so it instantly boosts my mood.

Calories wise, it's 180 calories for a grandeand is the perfect drink if you’re looking to have a creamy almond sugar cookie in liquid form.

Tips From A Barista: I’ve tried making it a Chai instead of a coffee or adding whipped cream or some additional toppings - spicy and festive!

9. Iced Chocolate Almond Milk Shaken Espresso

Iced Chocolate Almond Milk Shaken Espresso

I literally ordered the Iced Chocolate Almond Milk Shaken Espresso the other day, but it instantly jumped up to the top of my list!

Starbucks Blonde Espresso meets cocoa and notes of malt, shaken together with almond milk, and served over ice.

I can’t get enough of the balanced milky, nutty, chocolatey taste with the robust espresso flavor to round it out.

Even on colder days, I still find myself ordering this one just because it tastes so decadent and sophisticated!

The best part of these almond milk drinks is that they only have about 110 calories in a grande, so they're a healthier option for those with a sweet tooth (ahem, me).

Tips From A Barista: Add extra toffee nut syrup in this iced coffee, or choose to have it as a Chai.

Tips When Ordering Starbucks Almond Milk Drinks

If you’re looking to order almond milk drinks at Starbucks, here are some things to consider:

  • Size
Starbucks almond milk drinks typically come in three different Starbucks cup sizes for you to choose from - Tall, Grande or Venti. Bear in mind that Starbucks cold brew options aren't always available in the largest sizes because they're so strong.
  • Syrups
You can customize your almond milk drinks, and Starbucks offers a whole array of other syrups such as brown sugar, caramel, sweet cinnamon dolce, hazelnut, peppermint, raspberry, toasted vanilla, toffee nut, vanilla, and sugar-free vanilla (this is great in cold brew).
  • Sauces
Similar to syrups, Starbucks offers sauces such as mocha, dark caramel, pistachio, and white chocolate mocha to make it a tasty beverage that matches your preferences.
  • Almond Milk Addition
It's easy to replace most Starbucks beverages with almond milk, but it really depends. You can choose to have your almond milk drink in either hot, iced, cold brew, or Frappuccino form.
With some drinks, however, you'll only be able to have it either cold or hot. Other drinks you may need to choose coconut milk or soy milk instead.
  • Adding Flavours and Syrups
If you want to add flavors or syrups to your almond milk drink, you won't be charged if it already has that syrup or flavor in it.
If you're looking to add additional flavors and syrups, however, there will be a cost involved.
  • Price of Starbucks Almond Milk Drinks
It really depends on what drink you're ordering, its size, and whether you're customizing it. Generally, however, a Starbucks almond milk drink in a grande size would cost about $6 or so.
Just remember that cold brew is more expensive (because the cold brew process takes so long), so expect to pay a bit more for almond milk cold brew options.

However, if I had to recommend my top 2, they’d be the Iced Chocolate Almond Milk Shaken Espresso and Honey Almond Milk Cold Brew.

The second is sweet and mild, with a rush of caffeine that keeps me going all day long!
